Exciting few days

Written by Val

It's been an exciting few days at the hospital. Bella is doing well. She has thrown up only twice! THANK YOU RUTH MCCARTY!! Bella has been quite tired this cycle but it's been hard to sleep at times. Two nights ago the fire alarm went off at 3am and our roommate has been a little 2 year old girl that is the cutest thing ever but nights have been difficult. She appears to have down syndrome and cant talk, she just crys. The family can't speak any English so an Interpreter is needed. The poor mother is a heavy sleeper and doesn't seem to hear her daughters IV machine beeping through the night. My heart aches for them but I must say, Bella and I have been tired. Bella's becoming a bit irritable because she is used to her quiet time.

Yesterday, Bella had some visitors! Our dear friends Julie and Flavio Diaz and her family visited. It was lots of fun! She dropped off gifts from a dear friend I used to work with at Ellison years ago! Thank you Cara Mariano!!! Bella and I will have LOTS of fun with your gifts! :) Bella's grandparents (Sam's parents) came to visit yesterday afternoon. They brought a family friend that hasn't seen Bella since she was 3 years old! Anna is out visiting from South Carolina! It was so nice to see her again. Bella enjoyed her time with gramma and granpa. During all the visitations, it was realized that Bella had some blood in her stool. Tests have been taken and we are waiting for all results to come back. Most tests have come back negative for bacteria. We are waiting on one more. Last night with her BM issues, we had to move to isolation. This means Bella cannot leave the room. This morning Bella was taken off of isolation! Whew... Bella doesn't do well when she can't go to the playroom. Sam stayed the night last night so I could spend time with Liam at home. It sounds like they had a good night! If the last test comes back negative, than we get to come home tomorrow! Yeah! Thank you for all the prayers and support!
