It's been a long night. Bella in the ER

3/2/12  Early evening 
Bella was thought to have had a seizure in the elevator on the was to see the Neuro surgeon. It stopped on its own, & now she is in the ER having blood work, CT of her heart, EKG an possibly an MRI of the brain before they will decide if she is admitted or not. Please keep her in your prayers . Everyone is exhausted, & her parents needed renewed strength!


10:00pm
Bella had an EKG, chest x-ray, blood work etc. everything looks good except her counts are a little low. The doctors have decided that Bella fainted instead. More details to come. My cell phone is dead, iPad is dying. We have been stuck in this room for 5 hours and there are no beds available at CHOC again...

We just got to choc about an hour ago. We went through the normal protocol of nurses, doctors asking questions and running tests. Settling in now. Bella made a wish tonight. She wished that cancer had never been invented. Although we feel so strongly that she is going to beat cancer, tonight she asked if it will ever come back. My heart is broken.

Well, I guess I fell asleep before I could tap post on last night's update.
At about midnight, St. Joe's finally sent Bella over to CHOC. They said they were waiting on a bed becoming available at CHOC (since 6 pm or so) but, based on the faces of the CHOC team when we arrived and told them that, I'm not so sure St. Joe's was being truthful. Bella was doing well, even ate a bit of the pizza she was asking for. Apparently I pluralized the word seizure due to my misunderstanding - she only seized once but may have only passed out. Either way, she's at CHOC under observation and I hope they'll kick us out today. There's more details I can go into but I'm on my way to relieve Valerie . Thanks to everyone for your ongoing prayers...I can't begin to put to words how much they mean and do for us! Thank you! MUAH!
