Pray for Bella's fever

Written by Val:
Bella had her platelet transfusion today. Sometimes I feel like we are at CHOC more than we are at home these days. Once Bella's transfusion was done, the nurse took her vitals and she had a borderline temperature. Since we have gotten home, I have taken it twice now and it is just slowly creeping higher and higher. I feel ER is calling our names once again. This could be another long night. Oh, one more detail. Bella got weighed today for the first time since last Thursday. I was so sad to find out she dropped more weight. She is now down to 50 lbs. I was so surprised because she has been eating so much more than in the past. Of course she just doesn't like fatty foods. We tried to feed her past tonight but she just can't stomach it. She just wants raw bell peppers, raw carrots, steamed artichoke and asparagus, watermelon and cantaloupe. This morning I got her to eat pancakes and cinnamon raisin bread.

We are praying for her temperature to go down on it's own tonight so we can all get a much needed good night sleep!
