Never a dull moment...sigh

2/1/12

11:00pm
Bella and daddy are at ER tonight. On Tuesday we got the call that Bella needed a platelet transfusion but her number was borderline so we were allowed to hold off on the transfusion until tomorrow. I guess her body was not happy with the decision to wait for the transfusion. Since Bella and daddy have been at the ER the bloody nose returned. Unfortunately St. Josephs is horribly busy tonight so Sam and Bella still have not been seen and are waiting for a room. I sent them off with masks to try to escape germs. Hopefully they will get a bed soon so Bella can start her transfusion. We don't know if they will be coming home tonight or not. :( NEVER a dull moment around here! ;)

1:00am
Bella and Samuel Nordrum finally got a bed at St. Josephs. They have drawn blood and now have to wait an hour for results. We are praying for her platelets to be higher than 20 so they can come home. If it is below 20, Bella will have to get a platelet transfusion. I'm assuming the transfusion would take awhile because they would have to order platelets first which always takes time...

2:00am
Platelet results were only 9. Platelets have been ordered. Its going to be a long night and interesting day tomorrow. Her white cells are only 1. She will probably need a blood transfusion tomorrow or friday. Poor kid

4:00am
Bella and Sam are coming home. :)

  1. Oh Bella, sounds like you had a rough night. You know that there are so many people out there praying for you that love you very much, and that includes me :-)
Lord, I pray that You remind Bella that You are right there and continue to give her the strength that she needs to get through this journey. I know You say that You won't give us more than we can handle even though sometimes we forget, so please help us to remember that always. Please give her Your peace that passes all understanding that she can know that You are in control of "ALL" that is happening and that You are right there every step of the way. Thank you Jesus for loving us all. In Jesus name. Amen.
Bella, take care and I will write again :-)

  2. I'm so sorry, and I hope you all sleep well tonight. I wish there was more we could do. You're all in my thoughts.
