Well, we're wrapping up our 2nd day back with chemo and I'm trying out the Blogger.com app (i.e please forgive misspellings or words that swype has stuck in for me).
Yesterday Bella received her starter doses of vincristine, accutane and cisplatin. Today was a mild but busy day. The chemo drugs took hold and had Bella vomiting several times today. Due to the caustic nature of the cisplatin, Bella's been constantly pumped with hydration via IV which has been good today since she hasn't eaten or drunken very much today. But this had also provided the benefit of potty breaks every 90 minutes or so (nurses are making sure that it's at least every three hours).
Bella had fun making crafts and receiving visits from 2 puppies, Aspen, a Goldie, and Berkeley, a King Charles, 2 storytellers, both pairs of grandparents visited, with Liam, of course, and a special visit from Eric the music therapist and R2-D2!
Bella's day 2 chemo, cytoxan, just finished it's infusion and it's back to sleep for a while. Daddy's on night watch while Mommy gets a break at home and the privilege of listening to the cats snore and Liam dreaming about eating.
Will post pictures here in addition to Facebook. Thank you all for your ongoing and undying prayers and support for our little princess!
